COVID-19 Update

Dear Cogliano and Sons Customers,

During this time of unprecedented uncertainty, all of us here at Cogliano and Sons are concerned about the safety and well-being of our families, colleagues, customers, and the many friends who make up Cogliano and Sons family.

Our hearts are with those who have been affected personally by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as the many communities around the world that are facing extreme measures in the attempt to slow its spread.

The income tax deadline for filing AND payment has officially been extended to July 15th.  That is in effect for those who have filed already and are sending payment to the IRS as well as those yet to file.

The IRS has stated that there should be no delay in processing refunds for those who have already submitted as well as those yet to file.

At this time many states are lining up with the new Federal deadline of July 15th, New York / Connecticut / Massachusetts included.  New Jersey’s new deadline is June 30th.  This is an automatic extension that does not need to be submitted and will include relief from any interest or penalties if there is any tax due.

Our offices will be open to receive mailings, phone calls, faxes, and emails.  We will NOT be seeing any clients in person beginning Monday March 23rd.  As many of our clients do already, you can mail, email, fax, or drop off your documents (contingent on if our building closes, no indication yet).  We will have access to our email and fax if we cannot access our building.

We will continue to update our website and socials to keep everyone aware of our office hours and capabilities as this situation unfolds.

Please be safe and careful out there and remember to look out for one another.

Sincerely,

Cogliano and Sons
